Atomic Learning brings you the most up-to-date training tutorials on the hottest topics. It is a library of thousands of short, easy-to-understand, video software tutorials designed to help you learn to use hundreds of different programs.  Available 24/7, for all faculty, staff, and students.  Answers to many of the "how do I do that?" questions. Easy to share - Faculty can share direct links in Blackboard to support necessary software or technical skills.

Background

UMass Boston adopted Atomic Learning to help train faculty and students on the use of Blackboard.  However, we were also excited about the variety of other trainings that our faculty, staff, and students would have access to. 

User Community

Help desk, academic student support, CMWA: writing project, training support.

Licensing

Contact Atomic Learning directly. UMassOnline is currently working to leveraging system wide contracting options to consolidate contracting and extend group pricing//volume discounting.

Support

We are able to support faculty, staff and students by generating links to Atomic Learning videos using the "Generate Link" tool and including those links in our direct responses, via email.

Training

We created a Blackboard training course using Atomic Learning videos specifically for instructors.

  1. QCC is looking into Atomic Learning.  I talked to them today about how the building block can separate shared keys and authorization based on Institutional roles.  I would like to see the building block installed using Institutional roles as the authentication driver.  Thanks, Pat
