Batching refers to the process of push hosted campus .csv or xml SIS extracts into both Bb Vista and Bb Learn 9.1. These files are posted to a sftp host. This host is then mounted to the batch server in the cluster. Each campus has their own directory where scripts sweep on an hourly basis to pick any posted files up for import.
The batching process is used as a way of standardizing data from multiple Student Information Systems (SIS).
In order to batch files to the sftp host, users must provide a static IP address for the machine they use for inclusion in a trusted site rule in the data center firewall.
Support is provided in the form of assistance with setup, processing, functionality and translation of generated errors.
