Lead Applications Specialist
As part of the UMassOnline technology team, the Lead Applications Specialist provides management and support for UMassOnline's academic technologies. Primary responsibilities focus on support, development and administrative efforts enabling support and integration within UMassOnline's portfolio of academic tools, applications and systems, as well as with various campus resources. Secondary responsibilities include scheduled and ad hoc reporting from various sources including the learning management system. In addition, the Application & Integration Support Lead provides back up and support to other UMassOnline technical staff across the entire portfolio of UMassOnline services and systems. This role also works closely with UMassOnline’s contracted vendors, external service providers and supported campuses to ensure the accessibility of supported systems, and continuity in service.
|Learning Management System Support Specialist|
UMassOnline, the University of Massachusetts’ online education consortium, is widely recognized as a global leader in online education. UMassOnline requires an experienced Blackboard Administrator to support all aspects of UMassOnline's online learning applications as well as other strategic technology initiatives. The ideal candidate must have the ability to quickly learn and become proficient in diverse applications and systems. This individual will also possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. Working effectively and collaboratively with University partners and vendors is a key, as well.
As part of the UMassOnline technology team, the Learning Management System Support Specialist works closely with the entire UMassOnline team to support UMassOnline's complete e-learning application portfolio as well as the technologies that supports them. This role acts as the first point of contact between UMass and Hosted Campuses who require support for e-learning applications. This position also works closely with UMassOnline’s contracted vendors and external providers to ensure the stability of supported systems and continuity in service.

Principal Applications Specialist
As part of the UMassOnline technology team, the Principal Applications Specialist provides management and support for all internal team applications as well as operational management to advance the features and functionality of various administrative and business applications. This role works closely with UMassOnline’s contracted vendors and external providers to ensure the stability of supported systems and continuity in service. In addition, the Principal Applications Specialist works direclty with UITS to measure service levels, reports on service level agreements, determine service windows and manage much of the processes surrounding the relationship that UITS has with UMassOnline.
