OWLET is a course evaluation tool developed by the Center for Educational Software Development (CESD) team at UMass Amherst. Users access OWLET from the UMassOnline login pages which hit the OWLET server to verify if an evaluation should be presented. The user has the option to take the evaluation or to return to it at another time.
OWLET is available to all UMass campuses at no cost for licensing. Some costs may apply to maintenance and new development.
Please see the UMassOnline Technology Support for additional information on OWLET Support. UMOL is the point of contact for hosted campus support. UMOL will help identify needs and will communicate directly with application hosts or integrated systems used.

What's New in OWL Fall 2011
The Student Search navigation bar link previously returned both student and instructor accounts. Now in keeping with the title, it only returns student accounts. To see instructors, use the Instructor List navigation bar link. From the instructor list, you can now click on the instructor name to access his/her Student Information page.
For security reasons, instructors can no longer change a student's password. If a student is having trouble logging in or can't remember his/her password, tell the student to use the "I've forgotten my login and/or password." link on the login page. Before doing this, you should verify and change, if necessary, the student's email address. To do this use the "Change student's account information" link from the Student Information page.
The Student Progress page has been reformatted for Question, Question Pool, and Exam mode assignments. It now interleaves session, IU attempt, and question attempt information so that you can more easily see how a student worked on an assignment.
You can now change a student's score on a question in Question/Exam mode assignments or on an IU attempt for Question Pool mode assignments. Use the "View/Override" or "Override Score" links from the Student Assignment Progress page.
